Unity Prayers for the Loss of a Loved One

The love of God fills my heart with peace and sustains me in any challenge.  I am immersed in the comfort of divine love that saturates my mind and body.  With each breath, I release every concern in my heart and mind.  In the midst of a storm, I remember Jesus’s words: “Peace, be still.”  As I grow in grace and understanding, my faith is renewed, and I am filled with the calm assurance that God is always present and love surrounds me. The Holy Spirit is my strength and comfort in this time of need and I am blessed with the peace that passes all understanding. God’s love supports me through this loss and transforms every sorrow into love and peace. All that I have shared with my loved one continues to enrich my life in so many ways. The Holy Spirit is comforter and companion as I come to peace. God is love and in that love, (Name), safely dwells.  I trust the eternal welfare of (his/her) soul into God’s gentle care and keeping.  As I release and bless (Name) on their journey forward, the Holy Spirit, gives me the assurance and comfort that (he/she) is forever safe in the eternal arms of God.
