Human beings have a spark of divinity within them

Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.  Their very essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.  We are expressions of God, like a wave in the ocean. We’re not the whole ocean, but made up of the same stuff.

We are the divine expressing in human form and we can never be separate from God. Jesus tried to tell us and show us this many times.  The same essence of the divine that Jesus had dwells in each of us, even as imperfect as we are. Principle two tells us that our essence is of God.  And, therefore, if we are expressions of God, then the nature of our being is inherently good. Living from this viewpoint doesn’t mean we will avoid difficulties, but we will see, understand, and manage them much differently.

The logical, analytical way we approach our lives where we consider consequences and understand consequences is different from the spiritual part of us that just knows. If everything is God (Principle One) then there is no part of us that is not divine (Principle Two).

We came to this earth as spiritual beings to have a human experience. Heaven and hell are merely states of consciousness that we create for ourselves while having this human experience. Heaven is our natural personal environment. Jesus embodied enlightenment.  He spent his short lifetime describing, teaching, and passing on to us the path to God-consciousness.
