Wisdom

Wisdom: Inner Knowing (video)

WISDOM: The ability to evaluate, discern, and apply what you know. The disciple JAMES, SON OF ZEBEDEE represents the still small voice that guides us. The month is MARCH, the corresponding color is YELLOW and the location is the pit of the stomach.

The dictionary defines wisdom as: Understanding of what is true, right, or lasting. We develop wisdom at every level of our being-Physically, Mentally, and Spiritually. From the nature of our Body – our wisdom comes from Physical EXPERIENCE and OBSERVATION. From the nature of our Intellect – our wisdom comes from conclusions reached through REASON and LEARNING (sometimes called “Book” learning). From our Spiritual nature – our wisdom comes from INTUITION and INSPIRATION.

People who live totally in the INTELLECT (Head) and DENY that man can know anything about God, because they have not experienced Spirit personally and therefore do not “KNOW” the Experience of God. This is a very personal experience. You’ve probably noticed that words are insufficient to describe this experience to another. We could say that the “Experience of God” is a real “Do-It-YOURSELF Job!

These are the people that either do not believe in God at all or those that insist on a very literal translation of the Bible. They have to have the words printed on the page to prove they’re right.

INTELLECTUALISM claims that Knowledge is INDEPENDENT of feeling. It proclaims Literal knowledge without consideration of the Spirit. Book-knowledge without common sense! This person that swells in Intellectualism is often Impractical and Unsuccessful; they accumulate more knowledge than they have Wisdom and Power to apply. We’ve all probably known one or two. What good is Wisdom if not applied? But we have the blessing of DIVINE INTELLIGENCE. Intelligence that comes from the Divine Mind, the One-Mind we’re all connected to. Through our heart and through the power of INTUITION, we have direct access to all Knowledge and the wisdom of God.

Ralph Waldo Emerson: “There is a power above and behind us – and we are the channel of its communication.” Socrates: “I have had this from my childhood; it is a sort of voice that comes to me.” George Elliot: “There is another self; my own personality is but a mere instrument through which this spirit is working.” Rudyard Kipling: “I have learned that when your inner helper is in charge, do not try to think consciously. Drift, wait, and then act.” Picasso: “A work of art is the product of calculations that are frequently unknown to the artist, calculations that precede intelligence.” Mozart: “Whence and how my ideas come, I know not; nor can I force them. They take place as if in a pleasingly lively dream. I PRAY to God and the composition begins.” These quotes confirm that the spiritual power of Wisdom is still valid TODAY.

How do we acquire Wisdom? How can we have that feeling of knowing that we know? First, affirm that you have access to Spiritual Wisdom. Second, commit yourself to spending time in prayer and meditation…Let spirit flow. Listen and pay attention to “the still small voice”. Third, study and contemplate spiritual lessons.

When we go within and go to our heart, we will be wise — we will know the Truth. The ever-lasting truth is that every day is Judgment Day because every day we choose what we think, what we feel, what we say and what we do.
