ZEAL: The ability to be enthusiastic and passionate, to start and motivate. The disciple SIMON THE CANAANITE represents motivation and the desire to accomplish great things. The month is OCTOBER, the corresponding color is ORANGE and the location is the back of the head.
Enthusiasm and zeal work for us to generate spiritual energy and power. When we are clear about our goals, when we are clear about our mission in life and when we are excited about our goal and mission, it becomes easier to for us to overcome challenges and it is easier to keep working towards a long-term goal. When we add feelings to our mission and goals they are realized more quickly. When we add feelings to our affirmations they are transformed into reality – what we say is transformed into physical reality – our words become fact, become solid.
Dreams, missions and goals come in all sizes. But the bigger they are the more important, the more critical it is for us to learn to let zeal and enthusiasm work for us. When two parts of me are in agreement, my prayers are answered. Those two parts of me and those two parts of you are our thinking nature and our feeling nature. They have to be in agreement.
How many times have you heard someone say that they were praying for a particular thing and yet all you heard them talk about is the opposite thing? I hear how unfortunate they are and how the world has mistreated them. No matter what someone suggests to them, they always have a negative response. They always have an excuse. Regardless of any prayer or any affirmation they might consciously use to change their situation, they are constantly investing their feelings, their enthusiasm in their old story.
I’m alive alert awake enthusiastic is a great energy booster. Using this affirmation generates positive energetic thoughts and feelings. As I embrace the affirmation, I truly do get reminded of God – on all levels. I am reminded at the thinking level, at the emotional level and at the spiritual level. The everlasting truth is that when you feel the spiritual faculty of zeal or enthusiasm you can be sure that it is at work for you.
